Licensed Aesthetician, Melissa Burchfield, is a graduate of the Tennessee School of Beauty Aesthetics Program. Since joining our team in 2006, she has honed the finest techniques in laser hair reduction, waxing, chemical peels, dermaplaning, medical microdermabrasion, and microneedling. Since joining our staff in 2006, Melissa is passionate and enthusiastic about staying up to date on the latest technology to deliver exceptional results. Her attention to detail, love of people, and outgoing nature keeps her patients loyal.
Melissa enjoys the challenge of being a single parent to her son Parker. “I’m blessed with a very supportive group of friends and family, and I thank God every day for allowing me to have a son that I adore and a career that I love so much!”
Melissa has attended the International Esthetics and Spa Conference and SkinMedica, as well as biannual training for high quality products, such as SkinMedica, Obagi, and Glo Minerals Cosmetics.
Licensed Aesthetician for several years, Kelly Stevens is a graduate of the Capitol School of Esthetics, Omaha, NE, and a licensed Cosmetologist of Mr. Jay’s Academy of Hair Design, Spokane, WA. Kelly Stevens is originally from Michigan and has joined the MediSpa team from Crossville, TN, where she owned a Day Spa business for six years. She has excelled in many areas such as chemical peels, facials, hair reduction, microdermabrasions, waxing, as well as other laser treatments for the face. Kelly also has several years of experience working aside physicians in the medical cosmetic field, assisting them with laser treatments and injectables.
Kelly is very detail-oriented and energetic, and truly loves the medical spa industry and her clients. She finds her work personally rewarding and enjoys making her clients look and feel fabulous!
Kelly has had training for Obagi, PCA, and SkinMedica, as well as training for laser hair reduction and other laser treatments.
Kelly is a “newbie” to the Knoxville area, and looks forward to exploring her new city. She enjoys traveling, various outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and her loyal Jack Russell Terrier, Lily.
Rita Wheeler is a Medical Assistant who started her career in 1989 working in internal medicine while living in California. Rita made the switch to dermatology after her move to Tennessee in 2001 to be with family. She is very involved with her children and their various activities. Rita has 3 biological children and 4 adopted children.
Rita has been with Knoxville Dermatology Group since 2002 and joined MediSpa in 2011. Rita enjoys being part of a team that is concerned with the health of your skin. Along with her training in all aspects of dermatology, she has had extensive training in skin care products as well as cosmetic lasers.
Tara Miller is a Registered Medical Assistant who started with Knoxville Dermatology Group in 2004. She has training in several aspects of dermatology, including M.O.H.S. surgery and Phototherapy.
Tara has been a part of the MediSpa team since 2006 and has extensive knowledge in cosmetic procedures and products along with training in cosmetic lasers.
Tara stays busy outside of work attending soccer games and spending time with her family. She is married, has 2 daughters and is a native Knoxvillian.
Rhonda White is the Sevierville Spa Coordinator. Prior to joining MediSpa in 2006, Rhonda worked at Knoxville Dermatology Group in administration. She attended the Associated Airline School in Miami, Florida, as well as the Knoxville Business College. Rhonda later moved abroad and lived throughout Europe, including Greece, Spain, the South of France and Brussels, for 10 years where she thoroughly enjoyed European shopping. Once she moved back to the States, Rhonda worked for Estée Lauder for seven years as a skin and makeup specialist.
Rhonda especially enjoys attending her sons’, Tony and Ronrico, basketball games, cooking, listening to music, traveling, and enjoys her newest endeavor as a Premier Designs jeweler. In her position at MediSpa, Rhonda greets each and every patient with a welcoming smile.
In March 2016, Angela joined the MediSpa team as a patient coordinator. Yet, she has been a part of the Knoxville Dermatology Group family since joining in 2015 as an Accessioner in the practice’s histology lab. Prior to becoming a part of Knoxville Dermatology Group and MediSpa, Angela gained a wealth of knowledge during her previous 16 years’ experience in patient relations, which includes her role as patient coordinator for Knoxville Pediatric Associates (2001-2006), front office supervisor for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital (2006-2011), and front office & social media coordinator for Gallaher Plastic Surgery & Spa (2011-2015). With her experience in the industry and her desire to help others have an enjoyable office experience, Angela is a great addition to MediSpa!
Angela excels in creativity, as she is the owner and custom jewelry designer of her very own ETSY shop, House of 5709. She is a self-claimed DIY junkie and antique lover. Angela very much enjoys spending time with her Chocolate Lab, Cherrilee, and her loveable cat, Jack.
Cyndi became a team member of MediSpa at Knoxville Dermatology Group in March 2016. She is a great addition to the practice, as she has an extensive background and experience in customer relations, office management, logistics, and accounting. Cyndi graduated from Tusculum College with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management degree in 2013. Through her previous experience in the business field, Cyndi joins MediSpa as a patient coordinator with a skill set that will be sure to benefit each patient’s medical spa experience.
Cyndi enjoys spending quality time with her two children and her “fur baby,” Mika, a MaltiPom. She loves spending time with family and friends on the lake during the summer months. With Cyndi’s cheerful attitude, she greets each and every patient with a smile.
