At the early age of 19, Kelley began working in the health care industry as an EMT and discovered her passion for helping people. She then became a paramedic and decided to pursue a nursing degree from Carson-Newman University. After graduating in 2005, Kelley continued her education and received her graduate degree in 2010 becoming a board-certified nurse practitioner, all while still working in emergency care until 2012.
Kelley acquired her love for cosmetics and aesthetics after attending an aesthetic training in Scottsdale, AZ. There she met the founder of PCA Skin®, Dr. Jennifer Linder, and furthered her aesthetic knowledge training at Dr. Linder’s clinic. Since 2013, Kelley has acquired and continued to perfect her expertise in cosmetic injections and laser treatments. She loves making a patient feel better about his or herself, not only on the outside, but on the inside as well. Kelley finds it very rewarding in helping people see their own beauty. She has been an active member of the International Association of Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine and the International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses. Kelley is ever-expanding her knowledge and furthering her education. In the latter part of 2018, Kelley will sit for her CANS (Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist) exam in Chicago.
While not at work, Kelley loves spending time with her son, Brennan. They enjoy quality time together, especially outdoors in their shared enthusiasm for fishing.
Brittany acquired her aesthetics license from Tennessee School of Beauty in 2014. It was during her time in school that she took a laser peri-medical course, where she learned cosmetic injectable techniques, including Botox Cosmetic and dermal fillers. Brittany also gained a great deal of knowledge in laser treatments and aesthetics procedures, such as dermaplaning and chemical peels. With her passion for cosmetics and aesthetics, Brittany is committed to expanding her knowledge and skills to provide patients with quality services while exceeding their expectations. In 2018, Brittany received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Lincoln Memorial University, and is a licensed, registered nurse. In addition to her knowledge in medical cosmetics, Brittany is a skilled makeup artist. In her spare time, she does freelance makeup sessions for weddings. Brittany’s family and friends are a big part of her life, and she enjoys spending time with them every chance she gets.
April was born in Charleston and traveled around to multiple states before landing in Tennessee in 2008. April earned her aesthetic license from the state of Florida in 2006, and furthered her knowledge in medical aesthetics, while working in a fast paced dermatology clinic in Knoxville. She continued her advanced aesthetic skills while attending multiple extensive trainings in pharmaceutical and medical-grade products and procedures. April holds many additional certifications in cosmetic laser treatments and other procedures, including Photo Facials, Vascular Laser Therapy, Laser Hair Reduction, Dermaplaning, Fractional Skin Resurfacing, Chemical Peels, Medical Facials, Photodynamic Therapy, and Microneedling. She stays abreast with the ever-changing world of lasers and cosmeceuticals, always searching to provide state-of-the-art procedures and quality products to achieve the best results. If she’s not traveling, April likes to spend her time outdoors with her boyfriend, friends, family, and especially her furbabies, Milton and Delores.
Rita Wheeler is a registered medical assistant who started her career in 1989 working in internal medicine, while living in California. Rita made the switch to dermatology after her move to Tennessee in 2001 to be with family. She is very involved with her children and their various activities. Rita has three biological children and four adopted children.Rita has been with Knoxville Dermatology Group since 2002 and joined MediSpa in 2011. She enjoys being part of a team that is concerned with the health of your skin. Along with her training in all aspects of dermatology, Rita has had extensive training on skincare products and has a wealth of knowledge in cosmetic, laser and aesthetic services.
Tara Miller is a registered medical assistant who started with Knoxville Dermatology Group in 2004. She has training in several aspects of dermatology, including Mohs surgery and Phototherapy. Tara has been a part of the MediSpa team since 2006 and has extensive knowledge in cosmetic procedures, laser treatments, and skincare products. Tara stays busy outside of work attending soccer games and spending time with her family. She is married, has two daughters, and is a native Knoxvillian.
In 2018, Kaley joined the MediSpa team with almost five years of customer service experience. She loves interacting with the public, and enjoys helping each patient have a positive experience from the moment they set foot through the door. Kaley comes to MediSpa with a wealth of knowledge in cosmetic procedures and skincare products having earned her aesthetic license at the Douglas J. Aveda Institute in Knoxville. She enjoys her job because of her passion for skin health, and she plans to further her knowledge in dermatology and cosmetics through trainings and continuing education. Kaley enjoys spending time with her family, going on spontaneous road trips with friends, and taking in the outdoors.
