GETTING FACIAL FILLER INJECTABLES

Your dermal injections will be given with a very fine needle that causes little or no discomfort. Treatment usually only takes 15 to 30 minutes. Complications with dermal fillers are very rare.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT WITH DERMAL FILLERS

• Juvéderm, Restylane, and Perlane, are smooth gels made from plants that are similar to a substance known as hyaluronic acid that naturally occurs in your body. Both of these outstanding fillers can immediately soften your lines and wrinkles.
• Sculptra is a synthetic and biodegradable substance made from the acids of fruits. Sculptra is designed to promote collagen production. It gradually increases the thickness of the skin, helping fill lines and wrinkles and increase the overall volume of the face. Like Restylane and Juvederm, complications with Sculptra are rare.
• Radiesse is a calcium-based substance that stimulates collagen production. It reduces the appearance of facial lines, folds, creases, and wrinkles. Radiesse also can be used to help shape the face. Radiesse is mostly used in the cheeks and nasolabial folds.

DERMAL FILLER RECOVERY AND RESULTS

Results from dermal fillers are immediate. In some cases, the results of facial fillers improve over time and with continued treatments. In most cases, the effects of dermal fillers last at least 6 months; but some patients find they need less of the fillers and that they experience longer-lasting results even after just a few treatments. Sculptra and Radiesse tend to produce longer-lasting results compared with many other dermal fillers.

Complications from dermal fillers are mild, usually last no more than 7 days, and may include:
